Question Front License Plate Removal

I just moved to a state where we only have to have plates on the back. So, onviously I want to take my front plate off. ANyhow, Im assuming that there will probably be two gaping holes where the plate frame bolted in. Any ideas on how to make this look better so I dont have to holes in my bumper. Let me know all ideas. Thanks!

I'm not sure if auto parts or hardware stores sell this, but try looking into plastic peg screws that will fit into the bumper holes (unsure of the tap size). Those screws shouldn't be too expensive. Then later on, you can get some touch-up paint for your bumper and paint over the heads of the screws to match up. Or if you're like me, you can get an alternative front plate to replace the actual license plate. I purchased a 'LEXUS' chrome front plate from Ebay, and it now looks so much better than my dented and crumpled front license plate

Use epoxy filler to fill the holes and a bottle of Toyota/Lexus touchup paint that matches the color of your bumper.

I hear Lexus service centers have plugs for the holes.

Or, you could get one of those half-height designer license plates. Mirror finish with a gold or silver Lexus logo. They look pretty nice I think.

i think the car looks so much better without a front licence plate. i live in new jersey but i bought my car in PA so my car didnt have the holes for the licence plate and untill the day i get pulled over i have no intentions of putting them in my front bumper. i passed inspection by placing my front plate in the dashboard. ::shrugs:: if they dont care then neither do i. but its good to know we can plug those ugly holes up if i ever do have to put the holes there.

I hate the way front plates look, but unfortunatly NJ requires them. Anyway, another alternative would be something like this:

I voluntarily drilled the holes and put on the license plate bracket on my '02 ES.
I saw another '02 ES with a nice front license plate frame. And it didn't look so bad.
So instead of worrying about getting ticketed for it over and over (Some places in SoCal, even parking officers can write you up for it!), I just put it on with a good-looking frame and don't mind how it looks.
