Default For those who have had engine mounts replaced...

what effects did you feel in the drivability of your car? Did it help clunky shifts into reverse from park or neutral? Did it "tighten up" your shift? Did it reduce engine vibration when stopped and in gear? Did it give your ES an overall more solid feel on the road?

Also, which mounts have you had replaced? I believe there are front and rear lower mounts as well as the upper dogbone. Are there also separate transmission mounts? Thanks in advance for any responses.

i pretty much HAD to replace my motor mounts in my 95 ES300. i think they went out at about 70-80,000 miles. "they" meaning both lower piece and dogbone. my engine was so unsupported (shook all over the place while driving) that it tore my air hose (the short, fat rubber one with the grooves, connected to the airbox) from the movement. this, in turn, caused my check engine light to come on and my car accelerated very poorly.

I've also had motor mount replaced. Dogbone and lower mount. Before it was replaced, the engine jumps up everytime I press gas. It can almost hit the hood. Accelleration was jerky. That rubber piece in the mount tore up badly when I was revving the engine trying to get out from being stuck in the snow.
