es 300 starting issue
Ok I have a 2000 es 300 that has 300K on it and all of the maintenance has been performed on it, recently I changed the w/p, timing belt & all idlers & the tensioner I aligned all of the timing belt marks with the camshafts & the crank marks. I manual turned the crankshaft bolt 2 full revolutions & checked all of my marks and everything remained right on. I start the car it starts up just fine and then I shut it off and when I try to restart it, it just turns over and will not start.
I have a fully charged battery ( pretty new as well ) and when I had my code reader on it, it would flash briefly a po 340 error but it would not register it in the code reader & the CEL light was not on either. I purchased a new crankshaft position sensor and installed it, unhooked the negative battery terminal for a while & re connected it and it will still not start.
How do you troubleshoot the 2 wires going to the crankshaft position sensor? It also has the variable valve timing & I have replaced one of these solenoids up on the manifold about a year ago.
What else could this be?? Help!
Thanks

Ok so this turned out to be a worn or slightly bent crankshaft timing belt gear and after replacing it & re aligning the timing all works good again
