Where do you find good mechanic to inspect used ES?

I assume that taking the potential ES to a Toyota or Lexus mechanic would be the best.

I am here in the San Francisco area,
can anyone recommend a good one?

i would take it to a Toyota or Lexus dealer and ask for a free complete inspection. maybe even pay for an oil change and say - BTW - could you take a look at the car and see if there's anything else i need? play dumb. it's in the dealer's best interest to find ANYTHING they possibly can in order to generate service revenue so they should be motivated to do it. good luck.

You don't need to be a AAA member for that.
