Default 2002 ES300 - Need help identifying a part

Hello,

I was replacing my front inner/outer tie rods on both sides on my 2002 ES300 and noticed a rubber block under where I was replacing tie rods. I don't remember knocking anything off. Can anyone help identify what this is and where it would go?

Co-incidentally, I have been hearing a strange metal to metal noise coming from the passenger tire area that I cannot narrow down. It is not the tie rods. Wonder if this rubber block in the photo has something to do with the new noise?

TIA

It's the rubber thing that goes on on the lower mount for the shock absorber that's attached to the front of the gearbox. not sure of it's function.

It looks like the rubber bottom from your (car ramps) you may have used. If you used ramps to aceess the vechicle, check your portable ramps to see if one or both are missing from the ramps under side? It is used so the ramps dont slide too much!

ShortStop, Thank you, you hit the nail on the head. You are absolutely spot on. It came from the bottom of my Rhino ramps. Trying to figure out how to give you a rep/thanks.

Glad to help. I have seen this part in my driveway a couple times. Best to silicone or glue it, to keep it in there.

At first glance I thought it was a stabilizer bar bushing with that hole in the middle.
