Wind Noise When I'm Driving with the Windows Up

its not always your fault if your doors are slammed. I tell my friends time after time not to slam my doors, and not to use the glass to close them, yet it always happens. they do it without thinking. im like "this isnt your cavalier, the doors will close without you slamming them."
and to using silicone on parts of my car, i dont like the sound of that. makes it sound cheap and i think it probably wouldnt look so good.
Just my opinion

Yeah I know, but it's our fault for letting them do it in the first place!
Door slamming goes along the lines with seat belt and parking brake use... Make it a habit quickly and it'll stay with you forever. Say something right before you get out of the car EVERY TIME. You have every right to be ****-retentive. They have every obligation to comply.
Hah here's my parking brake story.
Been telling all my friends for years... Set you parking brake! Just do it! Leave the transmission where it's suppose to be and set the parking brake.
Went to visit a friend at South Alabama last year. So we're in his new '96 Maxima with intake/exhaust/manifold work done. We park on a *slight* incline. Car was pointed down hill, wheels angled to the curve. He left it in first gear. I even said something then, like I always do. He just babbled on about how the engine compression would never let it turn over...
Yep, we all saw where this was going when I first mentioned it...
Swear to god, we were in the Quicky Mart, heard a huge crash and noticed his car was wathing TV in a house down the street. It had rolled over the curb, picked up speed going downhill through a yard. The car had squared up exactly with the livingroom. Around 3,000 damage to the car, something like 8 grand to the house.
Morals of the story?
Make good habits and practice them. NO EXCEPTIONS. LoL!

when driving a standard transmission, if im facing downhill, i leave it in reverse and set the parking brake, so that even if the parking brake fails for some reason, the car is still in reverse and wont roll. or if im facing uphill, i leave it in second, so that way the car wont just roll backwards if the parking brake happens to fail. but this is different than the slamming of doors, and the using of the window to close the door. nearly EVERY other car door that my friends close, has a window frame, and is not as easy to close. so for them to especially do it for my car, is extremely unlikely. i tell them, not before they get out, but after they get out and before they close the door. but they dont understand what it means to not close the door hard, and it is just their constant reaction to use the glass to close. not everyone is a car person like i am. when i get out of someones car, i use the door handle to close their door, that is just how i am. other people use the door frame above the glass. no matter how many times i tell them, they close the door improperly. not everyone does this, but the majority of people who ride with me, in fact close the door improperly, with or without my telling them not to. anyway, now that i have written a paragraph about this, the point is, people usually just do what they normally do on something so small as closing a car door.
