Hello, I'm a long time Toyota/Lexus fan. I currently have a 2000 Land Cruiser and I am thinking about buying a 2006 ES330. The problem (or maybe it's not much of a problem) is the car has 205K miles on it. What should I be looking for? What maintenance should have been done by now? I used to have a 2001 Toyota Camry (years ago) that hit 170K miles and other than regular maintenance, the only thing I had to replace was the front wheel bearings. Any advise you can provide would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Unless the car has been meticulously maintained and repaired I'd keep looking. Many many used ES's out there.

What matters is how the car was maintained. The main objection I have to a car with said mileage is the transmission could be on the way out if not serviced regularly plus suspension components tend to wear out around that mileage.
How long do you plan on keeping whatever car you buy?

2 years max. I hear you. I am waiting on seeing the car. I'll check if the transmission fluid color is correct and ask all the questions about maintenance.

FWIW, I'd take a well maintained 200k car over a low mileage car that has deferred every single maintenance item to the next owner.
If its been maintained, its going to last. These cars die from neglect (and even then they can take a punishment) and getting totaled out from insurance claims.

Test drive it in stop and go traffic to see if your okay with the way the transmission and throttle lags and shifts.
Make sure the timing belt has been done (at least twice already at that mileage).
