Default ES300 2003 Car not moving when Gear DRIVE is selected

Hi guys,

I have a issue with my transmission. A few weeks ago I drain and fill transmission after the car was working fine when gear is selected to DRIVE car can move. Just this morning started the car selected the gear to REVERS was okay then shift gear to DRIVE car cannot move so sift the gear back to PARK and waited engine running for about 10-20 min and when I shift gear back to DRIVE car moves. I think I have a serious problem with the transmission of other sensors of the engine. I need advise from experts.

Did the transmission work OK before the fluid change? If yes, did you use the correct ATF fluid? Also, are you sure the fluid level is correct? To check the fluid level the car needs to be on level ground, with the fluid hot and the engine running.

Yes everything is okay. I drain and fill with Mobil Automatic Tranny fluid also the level of tranny is ok. How about speed sensor? Can I have it replaced?

It's the not speed sensor. I think you have a mechanical failure, I've told you that previously.

Put in 1 more liter of transmission fluid and see what happens. If the problem is still there your transmission probably has an internal failure. Best of luck.

I used Mobil Automatic Transmission Fluid. This morning when I started the car it revs high before changing gears and cloudy type smoke coming out. What does Transmission Speed sensor do? I'm thinking its a Tranny Speed.Senor

sound to me like your tranny is toast.
Tranny speed sensor is most likely just for the speedometer.

If my tranny is toast why other gears are working.

Bad speed sensor will not prevent the car from going into gear. I'm no transmission expert but when a tranny fails it often will only go only into certain gears.

Problems with the speed sensor may occur within the transmission, causing the vehicle to stall or hesitate when shifting gears. The speed sensor can send the wrong signals to the computer, which causes the vehicle to idle incorrectly. Is this right?

Do you have a CEL? Have you tried to reading trouble codes? A bad speed sensor will trip a code.
