Default Radiator Leaking

Hi,

I own a 1996 Lexus ES 300. I found out that my temperature is getting hotter than usual, then I started investigating under my hood. Finally, I saw some coolant on the right side of my radiator (looking AT the car), and then saw a leak under. Although, the temperature is only at the second bar (after warmed up and will stay there no matter the A/C on or not...etc...), counting from the bottom, but I will still like to get a second opinion and know what you guys think?!

Thanks

if leaks are not sealed or repaired properly they will only get bigger. If you are sure it is a leak (wash away the coolant and see if it comes back in the same spot), then have it fixed. Make sure it is not a failing radiator cap or small hole in a hose (these are DIY replacements) and the coolant is puddling where you saw it before.

You don't want to be miles from home and have the radiator blow on you.

Get it looked at ASAP.

Thanks for your advice.

I washed away the coolant and it came back after a short drive, so... I guess there's only one thing I can do. I find two parts of my radiator leaking, one is right on the top right corner, and the other is the hose that connects the radiator to the engine.

Any suggestions of getting which kinds of radiator or the OEM is the only best option?? Also, how about the hose??

get an opinion from a radiator specialty shop.

Some leaks, if in the radiator, are easy to fix. It's cheaper than a total replacement.

As for the hose, if it is the hose, that is a cheap fix unless it is the fitting the hose couples to.
