ES300 Lexus with P0301 code
My Lexus 1999 ES300 pulled this code P0301 and the check engine light came on, along with the VSC light. It is running rough at an idle now. Is there a way to fix this, or if someone has had a similiar problem can you please let me know. thanks

Could be several things other than coil, e.g. I had a misfire code caused by a faulty fuel injector. Also, computer is not that precise and it possible that it is adjacent to #1 cylinder. I would start by swapping coils and see if p code follows. How many miles on your plugs?

Good point, Art. I had P0302 and P0303 codes last week. FIrst thing I did was to make sure I could feel the injectors pulsing. Maybe I've been lucky; I've had 4 misfire codes and all 4 have been fixed by replacing coil packs. OBDII has been good to me.
