Default Little **** next to OBDII connector - '99 ES

Hey guys, I was trying to get my '99 to flash out airbag codes (doesn't seem to be able to, missing the correct pin in the OBD connector) and found this little **** next to the connector (see attached pic). I turned it all the way up and now my car makes the familiar Toyota-beep on remote lock/unlock. Is that all the **** does (Camrify my ES)?

That's all it does. Were you expected more engine power?

Nah, was expecting LESS because it's a Camry-fier, see?

Thanks!

The **** is for the alarm volume. As long as your alarm is the default one (my custom alarm isn't currently connected to that), you should be able to set how loud or low the alarm volume could be. The information should be better explained in the car manual.
