Is a timeout for interior lights a customizable option on '02/'03 ES?
They seem to stay on forever if you accidently leave on a reading light or don't close the door all the way.

Would be nice to have the interior lights shut off after a certain amount of time.

I read my '03 Owners Manual and it said that the Lexus dealer can adjust the timing duration of the interior lights.

i'd imagine them to turn off after a while so they dont drain your battery.
time to check the c-best settings for it.

Light Off Delay of the interior lights appear to be adjustable, but it's for how long they stay on after you've closed the door (7.5 seconds, 15 seconds default, 30 seconds). And not if you accidently leave a light on inside or accidently don't close the door all the way. The lights would remain on indefinitely if you do either of the two.

If you leave the map lights on or the dome light switch in the on position they WON'T go off automatically. Take it from me, I did this and woke up to a dead battery!
