A.c. fan issues.
Hello everyone,
The last few weeks the a.c. blower fan has randomly stopped working. It will be blowing fine then I will turn the car off then come back and nothing. The compressor cycles and if I have it in outside vent while in motion I get cold air because of the outside air. First time this happened I went through the fuses and all was fine, I shut the hood and poof the fan kicked on. It did it again today but this time I turned the car off then back on and all was well. Is there a relay that controls the fan? I am stumped, this has been the only issue this car has had in the 11 years we heave had this car. It is a 2005 with 95k miles. Thank you in advance for any help.

The blower or the blower motor control module/resistor could also be going bad.
In my case the blower would operate intermittently. I pulled the blower out and checked by hooking it up to a 12 volt battery. It would work fine but when installed in the car it did not work correctly. After replacing the resistor it still did not work. So I swapped out the blower with a known good blower and everything worked perfectly. I ended up buying an OEM blower which resolved the problem.
