98 Lexus Es300; Installing non CA emmissions O2 sensor
Hi,
I am installing a new O2 sensor in my 98 ES 300, my car is California emmissions, does installing a O2 sensor with non CA emmissions make a difference?
I reside in Georgia by the way.
Thanks in Advance

Yes it will. For non-VVTi motors, the federal cars had narrowband upstream sensors, and CA-spec cars had wideband upstream sensors. Your ECU will see information that deviates from the type of signal it expects from a wideband sensor.
Here is a list: http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/l...2)+sensor,5132
I strongly suggest you get the Denso CA-spec sensor. It'll be equivalent to the OEM sensor, as Denso made those for Toyota.
