I bought my ES about 2 yrs ago. I slowly added mods one at a time including big wheels, lowering, stereo setup, intake, etc etc etc. I questioned an aftermarket muffler because I liked the quietness of my car. Well, I finally gave in and got a really nice Muffler w/ a silencer. When I had it put on, the guys at Midas put 2 1/2'' piping all the way to the cat. With that, plus the muffler it sounded alot louder. Not ghetto loud, it had a nice deep sound to it. I liked it for about a month, now I want my stock muffler back. I didnt keep my old muffler, so I priced a stock muffler at Midas and its $300! NO WAY! So, heres two questions: DOES ANYONE HAVE A STOCK LEXUS MUFFLER that is in good shape. And, since I have 2 1/2'' piping, will it still be loud even w/ a stock muffler?

Check at the local salvage yards, the larger pipe will give it a deeper tone, but the noise level will be the same with a stock muffler.
