Default 2002 ES300 Tire PSI recommendations

So I just got 4 new Goodyear Assurance tires put on today 215/60R/16 and they inflated them to 43 psi which seems really high to me. The door jams say 29 which seems low and I have always kept them around 35psi. What should I be keeping these tires at? I live in AZ and it's a million degrees everyday..lol...Thanks

Two things from my experience:

- whenever I take my cars to a tire shop, they inflate to like 40 PSI lol.
- I hypermile my Insight, so I run 55-60 PSI in its tiny tires. I tried running 36 in various facelifted 3ES's (VVTi motors) to try and get better than 21 MPG. Didn't do anything more than make the ride bouncier over several gas tanks and the same route every single day.

...so my recommendation is to stick to the 29 on the driver door sticker.

EDIT: I guess maybe you might get a bit less tire wear with higher PSI? If any benefits at all
