Default Rotors

I purchased some rotors a few months back (not sure of the brand). Going forward is there a rotor that I should lean towards because I noticed some rust. The brakes stop with no problem so I guess its just for aesthetics. Any suggestions that you may have would be greatly appreciated.

I use Centric, Powerstop, and Advics (cheapest to most expensive). The Centrics are great for how cheap they are (on RockAuto). Powerstops come in the ceramic kits, I have no complaints. Advics are awesome...can't really tell the difference, but no problems, so "awesome" because I paid more for them .

No warpage or other problems with these (I always replace when I do a brake job with pads), and I could give a crap if the Centrics or Powerstops are made of Chinese steel because they worked great with stock brakes on my gen3/4 Camrys and 3ES, and everything works even better after the big brake (RX300) upgrade on my ES.

I'm in CA, so rust isn't an issue but the edges do get a bit rusty. If they sit in rainy weather for a few days there'll be some surface rust on the face, which flakes off as soon as I brake.

I think you are talking about brake dust, not a rotor issue.

Are you running ceramic pads? if not, get some - you can find deals at Rock Auto or Ebay.

one you get them, OR if you change rotors, you have to bed them in. Did you do that when you changed rotors? If not you will get odd wear, heat, etc.
