Default Door lock not beeping anymore when using key

Hey guys,

My door lock beep is gone suddenly. When I used the key before to lock / unlock I would get an audible beep. Now the doors lock and unlock but no more beep.

I checked all the locks and they work, unlocking and unlocking. I also pulled the power to the battery, waited a few minutes and plugged it back in, same thing.

anyone have an idea?

Did you check the beeper volume control switch under the dash?

its really a ****, and it's at the bottom of the dash almost inline with your right knee as your seating in the driver seat. Feel for it, or look under there and you'll see it.

I feel like I’m being played. I’ve been under my dash a million times and never seen such a thing… my car is doing the same thing 2014 is250

Hello,

No one is trying to play you here, the problem is that this is a forum section for 1990-2006 Lexus ES300/330, here is a section for your car. 3rd and 4th generation ES300/330 did have a dial under the dashboard to adjust the beeping volume, here is an owners manual for a 2000 Lexus ES300 that shows it. Here is an owners manual for your car, it appears that you can adjust the beeping volume via the Multivision screen, or whatever they call it nowadays. If you need further assistance, you can also call up a local dealership.

Hope this helps and best of luck!

This direction is 100% SPOT ON. Thank you so much as I too was having the same issue with an 2005 ES 330 that I have. Have had a number of Lexus' since '95. This was a fantastic discovery.
