Default Help with first Lexus/Toyota

I just got a job 55 miles away, and working on getting the house ready to sell to move closer. I just bought a Titan XD and am not driving that 600 miles a week... So I started looking at Camry's... Was shocked at what they wanted. I looked at ES330's and they are pretty much the same price! Anyways. I found an '06 for $7900 at a used car dealer with 105k on it. Looks in good shape but haven't stopped in and actually drove it. What should I look for?? From the research I have done, looks like the timing belt needs to be done around 90k. I asked the dealer and of course he bought it from auction (didn't say but assuming) so he has no history on it. No accidents and one owner! He told me so it has to be true. Ha!

Get a history report from the dealer if they refuse to provide one keep looking.

Greetings:

I bought my gently used 2003 ES300 from a used car lot which acquired the car from an auction. I found much of the car's service history through CARFAX and from lexus.com (which is where some dealers and service facilities record service events). You may find out all you need from these sources.

Good luck,

Check the throttle and transmission behavior in stop and go traffic.

Other than that these are solid cars! Just make sure you change the timing belt and your good to go.
