I wasnt picking.. I was just joking about the fact that the question was for what Es is the best.. Juan had mentioned different parts of different Es's that put together as a car, simply dont exist... Of course you were going to say that you love your 93... I understand that...

Hey this poll is misleading. The first Gen ES was the ES250. Gen2 = VZV21 92-93/MCV10 ES300 94-96, Gen3 = MCV20 97-01, Gen4 = MCV30 02-03, MCV31 04-06.

My favorite is the Gen3 particularly 00-01 aka Gen 3.5.

Default Technical Bulletin on 2003

Is thre a Technical Bulletin out on the 2003 ES300 about the delay that some say is because of the 5-speed transmission. The delay is the only fly in the buttermilk with this car. It's a shame. Otherwise a great car. I do not like the Goodyear Invicta tires that came on it though.

No. Welcome to the world of vague throttle by wire setup your ES has. That explains the vague feeling of your gas pedal and weak response. Toss out the Goodyears for a better made Michelin or etc.

Flip is right. Toss the Invictas....they are garbage. I had a set on a brand-new Celica some years back. Even with good alignment and tire pressure they feathered like sawteeth within 4000-5000 miles and made enough road whine to wake up the dead. By 14K, I couldn't stand them any more.

There is a TSB for the 2002 ES which also covers the 2003 ES. The number is: TC004-03R issued AUG 03, 2003 for A/T - Poor Shift Quality.

I like the 2nd generation ES. Although I love the projector headlights on the 1st Gen. I can't see anything attractive on the 3rd Gen. It looks almost exactly like a camry.

The first ES300 I think was the most stylish of all. It was when Lexus was still brand new, and it just has this shape that no other car had. Diamond White was my favorite to see on the road, few cars had projector headlights, and even that double 3 spoke rims looked cool.

Sorry, I didn't even know there was an ES250 until maybe 1993-1994 (I was still in high school and was shooting for a nice Honda Prelude or Accord at the time! ; with no job!?!)

I'm glad to see Lexus kept the same design scheme till today. I love the re-freshening of the 2005.

*sigh*

The Gen. 1 ES was the ES250. It did not have projector lights.

Well, the poll is wrong. Many people have misconceptions about the true ES Generations. Maybe I'll write a book. Or maybe it should be stickied in this forum forever for all to see.
