I love the

Second and Third gen. ES300 but I have to say that Ive owned both a 93 and a 98 so maybe thats why I love the second and third gen. best but heres how I see it:

90-91 ES250: Classy late eighties Japanese luxury styling that I approve as a very nice car
92-96 ES300: Very modern sporty looking car for its time with sleek lines and beautiful headlights. It definitely was the @*$&# when it was new.
97-01: This is when the ES became a daily pusher for the older crowd. Reinterpretation of the second gen. ES with more of a luxury flare. Less little anoyances like the dash needles burning out and the interior materials seem to be of a higher grade.
02-06: I have mixed feelings about this car. When it first came out I hated it completely. It reminded me of a pokemon or some other Japanese cartoon. My feelings started to change when I saw this car with 22s and it looked beautfiul. The interior is flawless with beautiful wood and leather but I do prefer the 04-06 facelift alot better.
07-present: I like it alot better than the 02-06 but it has become even more of a older person's car shaking off the original sportiness of the original ES'. I would drive one def. with no problems and the 5th gen. interior is by far the best of any.

2nd gen wins because engine can handle 9 psi without internal mods and rip up the current es

^Only the 92-93 since it has the 3VZ-FE motor which the 94-96 does not have so no the second gen does not win solely based on that point.

Personally, I'd take the 2nd or 3rd. But I have to admit I love the interior of the 4th gen.

Later 1mz's are much stronger in stock form than a 3vz though. And I dont know man the 2gr's can haul ***. A gen 2 cant even get close to the ES350. But youre not looking at comparible engines though....

I love the 05 es330, but then again it's because I have one. lol. I wish it was faster on the 0-60, but it drives like butter and I melt into the seat when I drive it on the highway. The sound system makes my heart beat harder for it everytime I play a song I love. Perhaps I should get behind another gen es.
