Default Can I clean this MAF sensor?

Greetings all. Got a 1998 es300 and have been busy following a lot of the advice here with minor fixes and preventative maintenance. One thing I'm not sure about though is the particular MAF sensor on this car. From what I remember the consensus is that most Lexus models don't require the MAF to be cleaned, and for those that have gone ahead and used a cleaner on their MAF sensor it ruins the part and causes issues with the car (even on the spray cleaners it says on the label to not use on Lexus?). I have seen at least one thread though where a certain year or model MAF can be cleaned safely. The pics are of the one thats in my car. Can anyone that knows better chime in?

Hm, I'm not familiar with that (I've only owned VVT ES300's), but I know the VVT ones can be cleaned. Just buy a can of MAF cleaner and go to town. Obviously not your standard cleaning fluids, such as acetone, chlorinated brake cleaner, carb cleaner, etc. 'cause those will ruin just about any MAF.
