My friend's '98 ES lowered with TRD suspension:

Front wheel:

Rear wheel:

Both have less than 2 fingers gap.

Thanks for the pics Luc! The front is a big improvement vs. stock but my rear looks just as low or lower(stock). How does it ride vs. stock? It may be different than mine as I'm considering the Eibach Pro Kit.

According to the specifications, the drop should only be about 1.2"-1.3" for the springs. However, since the ES300 is heavier than the Camry, it seems more like a 1.5" drop. My friend has complained of scraping driveways and speed bumps if he's not too careful. The same set in a '98 Camry, however, isn't as low. The handling has vastly improved, even for sucky OEM tires. Since the struts are made by Bilstein for TRD, they can be a bit harsh. I suggest going with Tokicos since they offer the balance of performance and ride quality better, whereas Bilstein is more performance.

Well, I did the finger test on mine. Up front, I get 3 fingers between the tire & fender well/ on back I get 2. A 1.5" drop will probably be just right. I plan on keeping the stock struts for now. Thanks Luc.

Frank,

Your LEX looks great!. I have a 1997 ES300. I went to the INTRAX website and they start from 1998. I wonder if I used the springs for the 1998 model will I encounter a problem? Our body style are the same (1997 - 2002). What year is your ES? You input is appreciated.
