Power Steering Parts OEM or Aftermarket?
My low pressure return hose has corroded away and started leaking.
Has anyone here replaced it before and have you tried the aftermarket replacement from Rein?
I figured since it's not a high pressure line, I should be okay not going OEM. Thoughts?
Part in question is 44416 on the diagram.
OEM is $120+
Aftermarket is about $70

I've put aftermarket lines in and had the PS pump groan when the car was cold. Replacing with OEM solved the problem, might not happen to you but keep it in mind.

For $50 and something that I bet will last another 15-20 years, I'd get the OEM. I'd trust a Gates replacement, but yeah, that $50.
Also, I avoid stuff from Rein nowadays. Too many BMW clients that brought me Rein parts that failed too quick. The only part that didn't let me down was a hard Y-pipe assembly for Secondary Air.

Thanks for the input, guys, I'll go OEM.
I was thinking the same thing, the difference is small enough, yet the quality of Lexus/Toyota is so good, I know it will last.
