Default Is this a coolant leak? -1998 ES300

I was doing an oil change about two weeks ago and notice this to the left of the oil filter, a plate with two bolts, seems like it leaked in the past. Does anyone know what this is?

Leaking coolant for sure. Looks like there is no gasket so drain coolant, remove, clean, seal with RTV.

That's what I was thinking, guess I'll have to go the dealer this weekend and see what that part is (and what is it?). Thanks Lexus2000 appreicate the response.

It's just a block-off plate, got a groove to lay a nice bead of coolant-resistant/water pump RTV in. I think the torque is 7 ft-lbs.

Toyota has a super-secret coolant FIPG for that and the valley cover plate, but it's about $115 a tube. Last time I did those was on a '99 ES with 243k, found a new-old stock tube on eBay for $20. Hey, it still hasn't leaked, a year later.

As stated no need to replace the part, clean it and seal with RTV. I posted the diagram to show there is no gasket.
