Looking for some advice, I own a 2006 lexus es330 and the car is not starting. I have changed out the starter, had the battery tested and it came back good. I changed the starter relay as well and still nothing. There is a clicking sound and all of the lights work properly. Anyone have any suggestions on what the problem could be?

Was the battery load tested? Checking the voltage does not mean the battery is strong enough to crank the engine. Did you also try a boost/jump?

So just to be clear, you hear a click when turning the key, but nothing else. The engine does NOT spin.

1. How did you test the battery?

2. Check your battery cables for corrosion and looseness. There could be oxidation on the inside of the battery clamps, creating too much resistance.

3. Make sure the ground cable is clean and tightly secured on BOTH the battery and the body.

4. Check the connection between the positive battery post and the starter.

yes tried it all and still nothing

checked all connections and i took the battery to autozone i will try the OBD2 scan tool and yes. The car wouldnt start two days prior as well charged the battery and tried knocking the starter, it immediately kicked on and started. Took the car for an oil change and the next day same issue. Now its been two weeks

You hit the new starter? If yes, then possibly a bad starter and/or poor connections.

i tapped on the old starter, didnt think to tap the new one. Also have tried puttung the car in on position and putting the car in neutral to try to get it going, still nothing

Yeah sounds like your starter is not getting power.

Make sure your car key battery is fresh (#CR2016), it has an internal chip that the car must recognize to start the engine, otherwise you will just hear the starter cranking but no engine start. Switch to a different key and try again.

Sounds to me like power is not getting to the starter. I know I am being redundant, but I would double check your connections both at the starter and battery. Make sure there is no corrosion on them or in them. On my F150 hidden corrosion in the power cable was the problem.
