Polk audio replacement subwoofer??
Hello,
I’ve seen many people replace the stack 8 inch sub woofer in there LS 430 with a polk audio 8 inch subwoofer, with the voice coils jumped so it operates at two ohms.
I am wondering, is the result, in a “premium Lexus audio“fourth gen 300 MORE/deeper/stronger bass? I typically like to listen to my music pretty loud, and I do like a good amount of bass. Right now, the bass is and four, mid range and four, treble on five. It is somewhat sufficient, but if the aftermarket subwoofer with the stock stereo produce is much more base, I can then turn down the bass to perhaps two or three, well actually getting more, and be able to listen to music louder and put less stress on the other speakers… Does anybody have any experience with this? Certainly don’t want to spend $60 and an afternoon tearing apart my car to either not improve or go backwards
Thanks!
