Opening Door Warning Light Stays On -- and Cannot LOCK with Wireless Remote
Hello,
I have a Lexus ES 330 (2006). I have two problems.
The battery was down, so I recently installed a new battery.
1. The Opening Door Warning Light stays on.. even when the doors are properly closed. This happens while driving as well. As a result, the inside lower lights also stay on.
I'm concerned that this will cause the Battery to drain.
I just now (today) replaced the old battery; it had drained out. Not sure why (I had not driven the car for only 10 days)
2. With the wireless remote clicker, I CANNOT LOCK the car. It emits a long (but not loud) beep (that goes on for 10 seconds). Additionally, the Open Door Warning Light stays on as well.
I am not sure if this means the car is not properly locked. I had to manually close the doors with the power lock inside. That worked, but the Open Door indicator still stays on.. resulting in inside lower lights also staying on (all 4 of them: 2 in the front, 2 in the back)
Is this due to disconnecting / reconnecting the battery?
Has anybody seen this problem? How would one resolve this?
