2003 ER 300. So I attempted to change the light bulb for the transmission selector (the P,R,D,1,2,3 Lights). Easy enough to pop off the trans cover. Find the bulb, take it out. I go to NAPA and but a replacement insert. The insert fit but was very lose. I attempted to use needle nose pliers to crimp the contacts but must of shorted something out. The bulb did not illuminate anymore and I lost all the back lighting on the ashtray, hvac and stereo. I checked the fuses and didn't see anything blown. The glove box light still works. The stereo and hvac still work, just can't see anything at night. Any insight here, thanks

 

I also noticed that now my ABS and Brake light are ON. Possible open circuit somewhere

 

Carefully check all fuses, you may have to pull them out to get a better look.
