Just wondering if anyone has had this issue. Just started flashing about a month ago. Wondering if the trannys about to go out. It works just fine. When the button is pushed in, it works fine, when it is let out, It does what its supposed to.

I can also hear the lifters knocking for 1 second while going from first to second gear. Don't hear it after that. Sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesn't.

The flashing O/D light indicates there is a problem with the transmission electronic control system. Is your check engine light on? If so, what are the error codes?

Yes the check engine light is on, and I have never ran the codes. I found a way to get the codes, I will definitely check that out. 94 Lexus ES300 223000 miles. Leaks too!! Been leaking for a while, what suggestions do you have as far as the leak?

What type of leak? Oil, ATF from transmission or power steering, coolant or hydraulic. The correct answer is find the source of the leak and fix it. That being said, for me personally, if the leak is small I don't worry about it. But I monitor the leak.

It looks like its oil, It burns oil as well because I have to put more in after about 3 weeks of constant driving. I will definitely get the leak check out and also run the codes. gonna do all that before I drive her again......Thank you very much for the tips. If you can think of anything else the cars go thru please let me know.
