You think this person cleared his 97-99 tails?
This pic looks like the person cleared a set of 97-99 tails. the middle is clear but they don't have the "es300" emblem on them. I want to try but i wish someone else would do it first so i don't ruin mine..ha. think it could be done..?

I've seen that picture before, posted somewhere on either sounddomain or cardomain.com. The "ES 300" emblem on '97-'99 models is always located on the trunk lid, like in the '95-'96. Correct me if I'm wrong, Frank, but doesn't your sig show clear tails on your ES?

those are in fact cleared 97-99 tails, the 00-01 have a jeweled look to them and there arent 3 sections like the 97-99 (if you get what im sayin), i tried to clear mine but 250degrees was apparently too much heat and the plastic warped 
so im steering clear of doin it unless someone who knows how does it for me

wow that would be awesome if some one could come up with that idea, so far I just tinted it with the platinum tints that I got on my windows. but its on the outside so its kinda peeling, so im about to rip them off really soon.

Good luck, LexDiamond. After seeing that picture, I almost like the cleared 97's better than the real 01's now. I like the third vertical line, it breaks up the taillight nicely, and I like the badge on the trunklid (like the 95-96, 97-99, and 02-current) over the taillamp (92-94, 00-01).

Don't do it! It cracked big time see my post in the ES300 forum about it.
I think that pic was either a beautiful photoshop job or maybe a JDM part? Definately not USA Lexus part.
