Default No signal/passenger front signal light.

Recently I replaced the front signal light housing. After changing it (Ebay) I wasn't getting any marker/ signal light on that side. I noticed that there aren't any wires coming from the amber bulb but a strip that another connector that I'm assuming gives the amber bulb power. I have few questions. 1 how true is this?....can that go bad?...if so....is there a fix? Or do I need to keep trying to order one until I get it ? Thanks for any assistance.

Here is a pic of the replacement light housing mentioned above. I think that the gold strip gives the marker/signal light power. Can this be repaired or replaced? I don't seem to be getting any power to the bulb. I placed the original light housing back in and it seems the market/signal function works as intended. Only changing it because I decided not to use my aftermarket strobe lights. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Might be able to solder wires between that socket (empty in the pic) and the other end. Or you could grab the FPC (flexible printed circuit) from a lamp at a salvage yard. There is copper and silver conductive paint but it is generally very expensive. Are you sure there is no power at that socket? Do you have a volt meter?

I have a volt meter a power probe and a test light but I know without using any of them that when I remote start, signal (right side) or turn on parking lights I don't get anything on the right side but if I install the old light everything works fine. And that is all with the same bulb.

When you say old light you mean the entire housing? Test the traces to make sure that's where your problem is. Always verify don't guess.

When I say "OLD LIGHT" if I didn't say it I mean the housing. The headlight and the parking/signal light works as intended so I had to put that one back in until whatever is going on with the replacement housing is figured out. Had to reinstall the original housing but it now it doesn't match the left light housing. HELP!

Just wondering if there might be a way to repair or replace this "power strip" or do I just need to throw this light lens out and try again with a different one?

I've already suggested three repair methods.
