Default what else to change out once the intake manifold is off in my es 300

I have to change out the 2 Knock Sensors on a '99 ES 300 Lexus. Once I have the intake manifold off the engine. What else should be replaced, upgraded?

The main thing is the plugs, and to use Iridium ones so you don’t have to take the intake back off for them for another 100k/120k miles.

Have a new plenum gasket on hand, and be sure as soon as you lift the manifold off to then stuff some towels in the intakes so as to keep any debris or tools from falling into them. Up to 01 and 02+ are different gaskets, so get the correct one. With the system open, it’s also a good time to clean the throttle body, MAF, and idle air control valve if you haven’t in a while, but that’s not hard at any time. The PCV valve is now easily accessible, but it’s also possible to deal with it while the intake is in place.

Coolant bypass hose 16261-20010 don't use generic. Knock sensor harness 82219-07010, on the knock sensors if you don't use genuine parts you could very well be doing the job twice.

Thermostat while you're looking at it, the coolant hose that is buried is a good idea too.
