Default Front windows work intermittently

there are a couple of ES300’s sitting in a junk yard not too far away. Would like to fix both of my front windows. What part(s) do I need??

Could be:

- broken wires in door harness
- bad master window switch
- faulty window regulators

I have heard that in the door panel there are 2 possible items which might need to be replaced. I am assuming it is the window regulator and the window motor...does that sound about right?

Is is there a way to tell which one is failing??

both front windows go down without any problem.....but closing them turns into an incremental exercise of going up bit by bit, say 1/4 of a way, then no response when pulling up on the button.....wait 10 minutes, then a little more....

When you're fiddling with the switch open and close the door as you're doing it to see if anything changes this could tell you if you have flaky wires in the door loom. If you don't get anywhere with that pull up on the glass as you're trying to close the window (be careful) if that helps then you have a regulator problem, and/or the glass runs (rubber molding) are dirty and sticking to the glass.

Does anyone know if the door regulator’s in the rear are the same as the front?

if I pick two up at the junkyard, then the rear units are probably in better shape since they have been used less often then the fronts.

are they swappable??

The mechanical part is quite a bit different front to back, the motor itself might swap over not sure. Search up these part numbers on Ebay if you want to see pics sub assembly is the mechanical part only no motor.
