PO157 Low Voltage Bank 2 Sensor 2: Question 1 What manufacture supplied O2 sensor for 2005 Lexus ES330? I want to replace with OEM part. Situation 1: have owned the vehicle for 3 years, ( original miles 48,978). Current miles (70,345). About year and a half ago a dealer oil change triggered a check engine light with the same code, so returned to dealer and vehicle was taken back to shop and returned without the check engine light on. A year and a half have passed with several oil changes since, but yesterday had the oil changed at different owner/ operator site. The check engine light came on. The sensor is located just below the oil filter, so is this a problem for anyone else?

This is not a common problem, at least wrt oil change and spillage. The filter placement on these makes filter removal w/o oil leakage near impossible.

If the fault code is being triggered when oil is spilled on the sensor, the wiring or connector is suspect.

Denso makes this sensor as OEM, and many of the electrical components on Toyotas and other Japanese makes.

Thanks Oro for the info. Upon further research, I discovered a thread that lead me to the answer I had missed. I checked and reattached the gas cap, then ran codes again and reset. I have driven approximately 150 miles, NO check engine light. I forgot the fudge factor: My wife !! She filled the vehicle because I was recovering from micro surgery on my knee. I usually drive and fill and service. The check engine light just happened to come on after the oil change. You are correct, impossible to change oil filter without spillage. Again thanks Oro and this web site. Have saved me again !

TO ALL WITH O2 SENSOR CODES: Check to make sure gas cap has been installed properly and tight. Then check and reset check engine light. If no more check engine light after several miles GOOD ! Fuel system is a closed system and gas cap is easy check. Not mention cheap fix, if necessary.
