Default hood lifts on a 01 ES300

Are hood lifts on a 01 ES300, 53440-33060, interchangable with 53440-33070?

Those are not Lexus or Toyota part numbers, the OEM number is 53440-39155. However, Tokico has their own part numbers that won't show in a Lexus parts number database. So you'll have to trust the seller on compatibility.

That's a Tokico part number which happens to be formatted the same as what Lexus uses. This happens with other parts as well there will be a Lexus number then for example a Denso number. If you buy replacements from Lexus they will probably look exactly like that, they are $100/side though.

I put some Stabilus lift supports on my ES they seem like a quality part. I have some Strongarm's on another car they are okay but not great they don't perform well when cold. Sachs and Monroe also make them, and a bunch of generic ones are out there.

I have purchased the Stabilus but had been looking around and noticed the StrongArm. I appreciate the feedback on both brands and I certainly was trying to avoid the dealer. Have a great one!

I have the StrongArm ones and they went bad within 3-4 years. They're still holding the hood up, but I gotta manually lift it all the way up, they don't have the pressure to push it up.
