Unhappy 98 ES300 VVT Bank 1 Location

Hey there guys. So I had an oil control valve go out on me on bank one and its causing my vehicle to obviously be out of service for the time being. I went and bought the part and went to go replace it and the park was not where i thought it was on the particular engine. Just to be 100% clear and state the obvious but the engine is the standard 3.0 1mz-fe. I looked at countless videos and diagrams and i am at a loss. Is the 98 changed from other models in and around that same year? if i am just dumb and not find things when i look for them, could someone leave a detailed description of where i can find this part and/or what parts i have to take off to get to it (pics are always a plus). This is the bank 1 vvt that controls cylinders 1,3,5 just to be clear. Hoping the Lexus family pulls through on this one. TIA

If you look at the back of the heads, you will see two electrical connectors attaching to devices IN the heads - not to fuel or air components. These are the power leads to the ocvs. The rear one closer to the firewall is bank 1.

This shows it very clearly, as well as the filter that should be checked.

Peple have had very mixed success with non-OE valves (Dorman, etc.).
