'98 es300 AT fluid 2nd drain plug gasket?
Here's the dealeo- after reading many posts talking about changing (drain & refill) the ATF fluid, and talking about that 2nd drain plug on the transaxle differential unit(the hard-to-get-at plug), I wonder if anyone here has removed that diff. plug because I need to know what kind of gasket/washer is on that plug. The local Toyota dealer diagram isn't clear enough to show. Anyone know? TIA!
UPDATE: After a warm up, I drained the fluid 'til it stopped dripping. Then I found the 2nd diff. plug(also a 10mm hex plug) that faces toward the rear. When I removed this(easy to get to-yah!)plug, another pint+ gushed out shooting past the drain pan making a mess! Oops- LOL! Took 4 qts total on refill. Now, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the diff oil IS IN FACT common (as read elsewhere on this forum) with the main tranny sump upon refilling. Drove it after- smoooth!...BONUS- I stumbled upon an electrical plug that was dangling unplugged between the battery and air filter box. Took off a plastic cover exposing a servo-motor looking thing with the throttle cable pulley on top- Cruise Control motor! No wonder it never worked. Plugged it in, and voila! Cruise control works. A good day!

Not sure that plug is there anymore at some point it was removed. There is really no point since the differential section now shares fluid with the main unit. You are better off putting effort into dropping and cleaning the pan and replacing the filter. Also clean the magnets.
If it is there re-use the washer/gasket no need to replace.

That plug is not worth the effort. I removed it once and was disappointed by the amount of work it took to find the right sized socket, trimming it down, etc. just to drain another quart.
As mentioned above, it's better to drop the pan instead or simply drain and refill a few times within two weeks.
