Hello,
I own a 02 es300 144k miles
My car has decided to finally give me my first real stumper.
So my daughter parked the car locked it and went off with her friend's.
Upon try to start the car this is. What happens.
stick key in ignition. First turn everything works.
Battery is good and new.
All lights gauges come on Just fine.
then you turn to start. Nothing. No clicking. Nothing.
I thought about jumping the starter with a screw driver but I would need to remove things to access.
Any thoughts??
fuses are fine.

First thing you should check is that the battery terminals are clean and TIGHT on their respective battery posts.
Try to turn them by hand. See if they move.
With your symptoms, loose battery terminals is a very common cause.

If the above does not work try a jump start/boost and see if it cranks. Without having the battery load tested you have no idea if the battery is healthy. If a boost doesn't work, try strongly tapping the starter and solenoid assembly using a long handle extension. Sometimes striking it helps if the solenoid is stuck.
