Default Power Steering

Hello all:
I just recently purchased an es300, My first Lexus. Had plenty of reasons to raise the hood so far. Done ok with repairs so far but now I got an issue I can't figure out. I've got a leak like unreal. It started as a small leak but over the past month it's just gotten so bad it's almost like just pouring fluid right out on the ground. Problem is finding the proper hoses for replacement. As any probably know there are many hoses listed for this system so how do I know the right ones? I can see the fan is electric so I don't think I have to worry abt fluid powered fans. So when I go looking for hoses I find hoses listed that all say they fit the application but I don't think it needs all of them.
How do I identify the exact parts needed for this car? there are several high pressure hoses listed and they are different from each other, Is there more than one pressure hose on this car?? Can the system be reached through the rt fender with the tire and liner removed? Any help friends?

It is almost always the high pressure line or the return both of which have flexible rubber sections. The high pressure line is the most failure prone see this diagram

So is there only 1 hose under pressure? there are 5 hose sections in the diagram. why the need for all this plumbing in the first place?? call it ignorance but it's quite confusing.

All the lines are under pressure some much higher than others. The fluid flows in a loop from the reservoir to the pump the rack then through a cooler then back to the reservoir. There is a fair bit in involved in a hydraulic power steering system that's a big reason why electric power steering has taken over.

With the aid of the diagram he posted, you can clean it up and find the leak.

Take off the belly pan on that side, the lf wheel and fender liner. Degrease everything with engine cleaner and let it dry or dry it. Then start he car and you can trace the leaks.

Having the hoses rebuilt at local shops is often a lot better option than expensive OE hoses.
