fog light q's
how do you manage to get superwhite fog lights in a 93? (the small round style) is this done by aftermarker or newer lexus lights?
i saw a pic of them on one car like mine and would like to do the same.

There are two steps to this mod: First, you must carefully remove the yellow glass from the projector lenses, I remember seeing threads on this months ago. Once you've cleared the lenses, you'll need a hyperwhite bulb in size H3, PIAA Xtreme White come highly regarded on this board, despite their price.

if you want, amrit can replace them with fog lights that have different bulbs and will look like this... because otherwise, when you take out the lense, the fogs no longer shine on the road like they are supposed to....
these are amrit's replacement fogs... if you want to talk to him about it, let me know

here is what it looks like if you only take out the lense, but remember this is with factory bulb, not bright white....... notice how the light is blinding the camera because it is no longer focused onto the road...

egainer, are those fog lamps from amrit the original ES fogs? or are they another type? i'm interested in getting bright white fogs, but i don't want to take out the yellow lense because of the reason you provided.

the ones that amrit uses are as so. he buys fogs, opens them and modifies them so they have a crisp colorful cutoff (so they look diff colors to oncomers like HID) and then he replaces the bulb with expensive bulbs that are a bright white... they are real projector fogs, he just puts in place of the factory ones. they shine awesome....
ill post pics of amrits fogs as they shine on the wall soon....

thanks for the pic's. I liked the ones on the garage too, gives me a good idea of how they illuminate.
any recommendations on where to purchase them for a reasonable price?

If I remember correctly you have a 98 ES? You can also buy their clear corners for 97-99 ES, $70 shipped.
By the way, you've got a PM!

the PIAA ion crystals only come in a singles and they are $30 each.
go to www.piaa.com and click on the dealer locate button. You will have to plug in you zip code and then it will give you a list of dealers in you local that carry them. If they don't have any in stock, they take about a day to get them in from PIAA.
you can also try www.tirerack.com. There is a link in the wheel/tire forum of this website, too.
