finally put the trd kit on the car
#31
putting an exhast on a ES wasnt wrong....let say.. being sporty isnt wrong...as long as it wasnt loud as those rice up Civic.. or Teg that will be fine...so puting on a Exhast is just like putting on Bodykit...it make a unique car look alot better...
as for the body kit...i knw we ES owner had some very hard time on it.. since we can find "none" for our car , personally i think it flow pretty well with the car (not too aggressive) for that kind of price..
if u want to get a perfect fittment for your car u are looking at 4000-5000 up for the kit(i m not joke) such as this kit...

Hey Lex, your attitude is lame, I have never seen so much ignorance come out of one persons mouth before. Like my mother said, if you dont have any thing nice to say, dont say anything at all. Hoebag's ride is starting to come together, maybe if you read the whole post you would see how he mentioned the mismatched paint and how he plans to fix it. You would also see how he is asking others on the board how they got there kit to fit better, seeing as how his is to low, etc. If you knew any better you would also know that Apexi happens to be one of the best aftermarket parts designers in the industry, and if you took the time to check out the exhaust you would see that it is for a luxury sedan and not some riced up civic.
Enough of that, MCV do you know where that $4000-5000 kit can be purchased, I want it SOOOO bad.

I got this off Apexi's website,
WORLD SPORT MUFFLER
Top-of-class street muffler combining both style and performance
Mid to high-end power
The World Sport concept is A'PEX's interpretation of how each vehicle's exhaust system should have looked and performed right from the factory. Designed with the daily driver in mind, this exhaust series focuses on drawing out mid-range torque and engine response for optimal drivability on the street. The styling is subtle and elegant, but still retains characteristics of its racing origin. The result is an affordable cat-back exhaust system that makes the daily commute more enjoyable.

Hey Hoebag, I like the ground effects of your kit I know you mentioned that you'll eventually have it properly painted, but I give you props on upping the styling of the ES. A car is made to be modded to whatever extent, that's pretty much a well-known fact these days, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with being looked apart from the crowd

MCV20 I'm aware your kit cost $4500 and If I was to put a kit on I would put either that kit on or AT LEAST look into the kit from Lextasy.com . THat Trd kit makes it look like a riced up camry.
Exhaust on a ES300 is not wrong? OK.Well then you must know more about ES's then I persay.
I've owned them since 1991 (ES250). I have owned 4 es300's and a total of 7 SEVEN LEXI. I'm wrong the ES300 is an adult's civic. My apoligies.
I know that if your driving a ES300 and expect peformance your in the WRONG car period. Drop your car, put exhaust on it, put a cheesy body kit, do a lousy paint job. Hey put some cheap subwoofers in the trunk and a nice "audiobahn" amp. Apexi exhaust. Personally I think its all rice. A Lexus is meant to be QUIET and RIDE SMOOTH. Go ahead put some ghetto exhaust on and tacky body kit. It's tasteful.

I'm not qualifing my ES as rice and attempting to make a LUXURY vehicle EVERYTHING ITS NOT
You are right! I just woke up! A ES300 is NOT meant to be QUIET, LUXURIOUS AND RIDE SMOOTH (LEXUS TRADEMARK) I will rush out and get me some ELEGANT "APEXI" exhaust! What a tasteful mod. How suitable for a ES300. Where have I been living? A cave? All this time I thought exhaust was one of those "unspoken rules" that everyone knows you just DON'T DO
Nice rims on your ES by the way; very original

I have a BMW as well. Maybe I should take off my Hamann components and install the 1/10 price stuff. I mean hey it looks good maybe 1/10 LOL

TRD does not sacrifice for looks, quality, or fitment, or price even
the same kit looks great on a camry (it IS meant for a camry)
its made out of high grade poly-urethane
fitment - fits perfect on a camry (which it was designed for)
price - even though i bought it for $400, this kit goes retail on many websites and stores for $1300+
