Any way to find a low mileage wreck and scavenge parts? If I had to buy aftermarket I'd probably go for Eastern Catalytic given they specialize in such things. Having said that, every aftermarket exhaust part I've dealt with did not fit 100% either the flanges were at the wrong angle or the hangers were off, or something else.

 

 

 

Scrap yards will almost never sell converters either due to environmental laws or they want to refine the valuable metals from them.

 

 

It probably isn't that bad once in awhile, but using it for 150k (which is how many miles the car had when i got it) may do some damage.

 

I MAY have fixed it. I swapped out the straight foulers for the 90 deg ones that were linked in this thread. I drove 100 miles so far, no light yet. Fingers crossed.

 

glad to hear that. I was pretty surprised when you said the foulers didnt fix your problem. Im thinking it's because the sensor is still sitting too close to the exhaust where as the one linked is further away
