Default Finally put on a Strut bar....

a friend of mine just help me to put on the Stock Solara Strut bar..(without any clearance issue)
it feel much much more solid right now... it also add more "road feeling" to the steering wheel..and tight up the steering as well..

Cool

Looks great!

Excuse the mildly idiotic question, but why dosen't anyone every touch or add a rear sway bar? The front will definately reduce some of the pathetic body roll and improve feeling, but in a FWD car I'd rather have more grip in the front. Meaning more rear.

I've never even looked under to see if these ahve a rear sway bar, but if I were doing one, I'd do the other.

Anyone want to enlightned me on why we're only sticking one on the front?

try it at your local toyota dealer.... my mech told me that they are stronger than the TRD one.. since they are make out of one piece metal and also it decorate the engine bay nicely...

sorry.. i dont have the parts # with me...
but hey.... i got the same problem as u do... i went to the toyota dealership..the parts guy said..
me:"can i have a toyota solara strut bar"
guys:"i havent sell any of it before, does the solara came with a strut bar?"
(he come out to the lot and check out the solara to see if there really is a strut bar for solara)
guys:" ok.. i got it"

the totally process take like 20min...

for the TRD strut bar.. it is going to have the clearance issue to put it on a ES...if u want to fit it into ur ES u need to have some modifcation...

but anyway here is the parts # for the TRD strut bar 0060253607100 - Strut Brace designed for the Solara

Default strut bar

I am glad you said the aftermarket may have some fit problems, I am going to put one on I thought I liked the looks of an after market with aluminin finish but now I think I will go with the stock one if it fits better and I am sure it is stronger. Its not like I will be poping the hood much.

Hoebag, have you put on the rear sway bars yet, or any one else? I have been looking for a place on the net that sells the whiteline, Any ideas?

I put on 18 x 8.5 wheels and they fit nice but I am getting rubbing while cornering hard. mainley on the drivers side when making hard right turns.

after I try the sway bar thing my next step is to roll the fenders.

I will post pics of the new wheels as soon as I get my camera fixed.
