Which year ES do you have? Your profile says it's a '94, so assuming that's so, traction control was not an option for that model year. A defective oxygen sensor or charcoal canister comes to mind for the "check engine" warning. Best to go to your local Lexus dealership and ask for a diagnostic check on your car.

umm
how does clearing the code fix the car?
isn't that like puting tape over teh light?
the light does mean teh car has a problem right
and just a thought for teh person who is looking for an answer to the cel
the are over 600 codes with multiple issues
there only real way most can help with outh seeing teh car is by having a code to diagnosis
just a thought

Lex, if it was casue you hit a bump, then the trac light should not have lit up the next time you started the car. The cause of the problem was gone and the signal to light the light is no longer there. Prbably lit when your tire broke contact with the ground, spun, and the trac control brain shut down the system. Should have gone away with a restart and when the hub cooled down.
If a CEL illuminates, it is always a good idea to find out why, if the apparent reason is not evident.

Steve:
The TRAC OFF warning light did go off when I removed the battery power for 15 minutes. I had the check engine light on for out of no where a few days before and the damn lights drive me crazy!!!! So two yellow lights being on was driving me insane and I just pulled the battery. I did that because I plan to bring my vehicle in for Lexus Service this week
Hopefully the Charcoal canister is covered under that EPA recall and the dealer I bought my car off six weeks ago has to pay to get me a new/rebuilt engine. (more on that later)
