Question About Heating and Air Conditioning on a 1997 ES 300
So, I just bought a 1997 ES 300. Excellent shape with 166k miles on it. However, the blower motor is fine but I had to replace one of the ballast resistors which is up underneath the dash and found out that actually there are two. But, the speed setting for the blower is stuck on medium and I cannot turn it up or down. Don't know what the part is even called that I would need to replace. Does anyone know what it is called? Is it called the climate control module or is it a ballast resistor? Any help on this would be appreciated.

AFAIK the blower speed is controlled by this module which I assume gets commanded by the HVAC control in the dash.

Not suggesting you buy new should be a part you can source from a salvage yard. Don't know if that's your problem but seems like a likely culprit.
