Default Leak in sunroof area (2001 ES)

As of the past few months I've found that during or after rain water collects in the overhead control panel for the sunroof/dome light/sunglass holder and will often drip down onto the center console in my 2001 ES300.

I can't find the leak which I imagine is quite small. Has anyone dealt with a similar issue on their 3rd gen ES? Is the sunroof known for leaking from a particular spot?

There are 4 (I think) drain holes/hoses one or more is likely clogged.

Sounds like a relatively easy fix. Do you know where the hoses/holes are located?

Open the roof and look at each corner you should see them. I worked on a Camry recently that had a leaky sunroof turned out the hose was pinched flat in the trunk pocket due to how the jack was mounted.

Great, thanks. I have a 5gal air compressor that gets up to 100psi. I'm assuming that should be sufficient after some quick testing by pouring some water into each hole and watching for it to drain out to determine which hose(s) is at fault.

Don't use too much pressure or you might blow the hose off of the fitting, then you'll be dropping the headliner.

That's what I did found the problem straight away. I parked the car on a slight incline.

Good thinking. I’ll report back with the results. Thanks again

All the hoses and holes seem to drain properly. I'm now wondering if there is a fine small hole along either where the sunroof seems meet or where the windshield seems meet.

Use foil tape to temporarily seal the sunroof that way you eliminate it as a leak source. Then spray down the car.

Thanks, I have a roll of that in the garage. If that isn't the source I'll be back here haha
