Is a shock and strut assembly interchangeable on a 1997 Lexus es300 and a 1997 Toyota Camry

Yes in respect to fit. However the ES uses different coils so if you put in Camry V6 struts you must change both sides.

Default 1992 Lexus ES300 / Toyota Windom

The car has some cheap coilovers which are horrible. Want to go back to original/OE. Iam in Birmingham, England. Getting some OE ones from the US incurs £200-300 postage which makes it very expensive. Are there any original/OE compete assemblys available in the UK/Europe?

There are no OEM complete assemblies at all available unless you buy used. Is that what you're looking to do or go with OE coils and something like new KYB struts.

Finding used original ones in the UK is very hard, not seen another es300 and camrys of that age are also rare, hence not many being broken. So you would reccomend KYB struts, how about for the springs and mounts?

Take a look at this thread
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es-...-included.html

Person is going back to OE springs and mounts with KYB struts which is what I recommend. What's your approximate post code I'm curious what shipping would be from me to you.

To mail the same package I'm sending to the person in that other thread it would cost $137 Canadian or £78.

Thnkyou for making the effort. Just for clarity what would you be sending as part of the package?

You need 4 coils and 4 mounts? Dunno if I can find you all that. And shipping would be more since that's double the weight. If you're serious I can try and find you the parts but no guarantees depends on the cars at the salvage yards and the parts condition.

I would need all four corners, the complete struts, if you can find some decent condition ones and work out postage I would be definitely interested. Thankyou again.

I can't send you complete struts way too heavy. Can send 4 coils and 4 struts mounts. That's assuming I can find the parts. What engine do you have.

Fair enough, if and when you locate a decent set let me know please. its the 3 litre auto. In terms of struts am I right in understanding that the camry ones are exactly the same. If so what model year of Camry's will fit, 1992 thru to ???

I've never actually tried mixing struts between generations but from what I remember 1992-1996 have different mount points for ABS and brake lines. Could be wrong but either way if you're buying new it's not an issue buy for your year.

I will let you know if I find the parts you want.

Has anyone here ever put in 1995-1996 ES300 front struts into a 1992-1993 ES300? I ask because the problem Waylander has is struts for a 1992-1993 are very expensive with shipping '95-96 reasonable. In theory this should work if you replace the entire strut assembly (strut/coil/mount) since the front knuckle is the same 1992-1996. I'm assuming the strut tower form factor is the same but don't know if it is. They have different part numbers.
