Default Wheel/Tire fitment questions???

I'm looking to purchase a set of rims.

Size: 18x7.5 w/ 40mm offset
Tire: 225/40-18

I'm currently lowered 1.7F, 1.4R with Tein S-Tech springs and KYB struts.

Will I have rubbing issues with this combination. Need advice ASAP...looking to order these rims within the next few days.

Thanks.

With a 40mm offset on a 7.5 inch wide wheel you should be OK. A number of guys here are running a 40mm offset with an 8 inch wide wheel and have very minor rubbing only when making a fast turn while the rear is loaded down.

So with a narrower wheel the potential to rub may be reduced. Although, I don't know if the dropped suspension would play a major factor in your case.

Hope this helps. Let us know how this setup works out!

Default wheels

I recently put on 18 x 8.5 and they do rub when it is loaded down or on hard cornering. I have had it lowered with Eibach springs and kyb springs.

the rubbing is not real bad but I am waiting on the fender roller tool ( I just rented one ) and also I am adding the strut bar and sway bars to try and help the cornering issue. I will let every one know what happens with in a couple of weeks.

tonight I will post some pics of the new wheels.
