Hi PFB,
I am curious, any reason why you change every 3K that too with Extended life Mobil 1?

I just feel better about it. Especially that I store my car indoors in the winter and don't star, nor drive it. I'm probably overdoing it.

Thats actually interesting to hear. I have heard of a few es330's that consume at least half a quart of engine oil within a 6,000 mile interval. Moreover, lexus claims that its normal and not unusual. (:

I have heard that as welll. Some industry standards are as high as a quart every 1000 miles, depending on the make of course.

I think it also comes down to the brand of engine oil and viscosity too. I have 105k miles and i use Lexus Motor oil 5w30, synthetic ofcourse. I haven't seen any reduction in oil soo far.

This car, according to the manual, can consume up to 1 liter of oil for every 1000 kilometers. But it does not really consume it. My Lexus 330 consumes 1 liter every 5,000 kilometers.
